- 90,000 Hoosiers aged 12–17 have reported experiencing depression. 

- 54% of Indiana youth with depression did not receive any care in the last year. 

- 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, including young adults. 

- 1,129,000 adults in Indiana have a mental health condition—more than four times the population of Fort Wayne. 

- 38.5% of Indiana adults reported symptoms of anxiety or depression in 2021. 

- Suicide rates have increased, with 1,079 lives lost to suicide in Indiana in the last year. 

- 7 in 10 youth in the juvenile justice system have a mental health condition. 

These statistics highlight the urgent need for community-driven initiatives like The Lion’s Den, and miracle-workers like you, aiming to provide support, resources, and empowerment for young people facing these challenges. With your help, we will create a catalytic space where faith, creativity, and purpose shine through the clouds of despair and point the next generation to a brighter present and future.
